Artist Statement "I use the tools of post-modern artistic expression to take another look at the human condition. The interactions of mediums, solvents and pigments are used as metaphors for the way specific thoughts combine in our minds to create filters through which we view the world. The interactions under the surface of the paint mirror the complex interplay of disparate and often contradictory elements that make people what they are.
Classic Surrealist techniques like juxtaposition are combined with post modern non-objectivism and expressionism to create a new, more relevent version of Abstract Surrealism" |
